What began as a humble trading post along the Chisholm Trail is today the largest city in Kansas. Here, the reclaimed brick warehouses of an earlier era house theaters, museums and galleries galore. Just west of Old Town, settle into your seat at the historic Orpheum Theatre to enjoy a rich variety of performances, from theatrical productions to concerts and beyond. At the Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center, enjoy a performance of the Wichita Symphony Orchestra. Looking for something a little larger-scale? Head over to INTRUST Bank Arena and blend into a crowd of more than 15,000 at the concert of a major touring act.

Sports fans can take their seats at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium to enjoy nine innings of prime Wichita Wingnuts action or check out the moves on Wichita Force, a professional indoor football league. The Wichita Thunder, a minor league professional hockey team, plays at the INTRUST Bank Arena. Wichita is also home to a variety of other semi-professional teams that will suit anyone's sporting interests.
