The Washington Huskies only started playing in 1993. However, since their inaugural game, the Huskies have appeared in NCAA tournaments 26 times, essentially every year since 1994. They have won the Pac-12 Championships three times, with their first win coming in 1996, just a few years after their inception. The team's success is due to great coaching as well as star players, such as Sara Pickering, who was instrumental in getting the Huskies their first appearance in the
Women's College World Series
in 1996. While at Washington, Pickering was named to the NFCA/Louisville Slugger All-America First Team twice and played in NCAA Regionals each of her four years wearing the Husky uniform. More recently, the Huskies have been making great strides, especially in 2019 when they earned their third straight appearance at the WCWS in 2019. Also in 2019, the Huskies had four players named All-Regional and one named the Most Outstanding Player. Get your Washington Huskies softball tickets today at StubHub.
