Swimming tickets are available now. Be a part of the crowd when the world's best competitive swimmers take to the water and start making some wake. Sports tickets to such an internationally competitive sport can be hard to come across sometimes. Whether it's for a college duel meet, an FINA competition, or a race for an Olympic gold medal, the excitement of competition in its purest form is worth experiencing.
Swimming for competition can probably be dated back to the early 1800s, although the only stroke was something similar to today's breaststroke. Swimming was an official event in the first modern Olympics in Athens, but all four strokes were not clearly defined until 1952. Some of the most famous U.S. swimmers have risen to fame from winning in the Olympics. Summer Sanders won four medals in the '29 Olympics, and Mark Spitz won a record seven different gold medals in the Munich Olympics of '72.
