The Utah Jazz have been rebuilding and investing in establishing a strong, young core of players that will be interesting to watch this season! They’re looking to improve defensively in 2024-2025 and learn how their players can grow together to win more games within a tough Western Conference.
The Utah Jazz franchise was originally founded in 1974 as the New Orleans Jazz, an NBA expansion team. The team was moved to Salt Lake City in 1979, keeping the name Jazz as there wasn’t time to get League approval for a new name, and it stuck. The Utah Jazz have won 11 Division titles, 2 Western Conference titles, and appeared in 2 Finals games, but have yet to bring home an NBA Championships. Rivalries have shifted for the Jazz over the years, but fans point to the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, and Phoenix Suns.
Going to a Utah Jazz home game at Delta Center is a lot of fun. It’s one of the loudest NBA arenas with an energetic crowd and fantastic sight lines. The Jazz is currently in a rebuilding phase and it’s a great time to go check out some of the emerging young stars on the team.

The Utah Jazz play at Delta Center, a multi-purpose venue which opened just west of downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1991, and has a seating capacity of 18,306 for basketball. As of the 2024 season, the arena will also be home to a new NHL expansion team, the Utah Hockey Club. The Delta Center has seen a series of improvements over the years to the concourses, seating areas, technology, and more, to keep the venue up to date with other NBA arenas and improve the overall fan experience. The arena also underwent significant renovations during the summer of 2024 in order to accommodate the need for a regular ice surface. The Delta Center feels intimate with a seating bowl that isn’t too large, offering decent leg room and good sight lines from all seats. When the Delta Center is filled with Jazz fans, it’s known to be one of the loudest and most intimidating places for visiting NBA teams to play, earning it the nickname the “Decibel Center”. Food selections are good with some local favorites and a selection of $2 and $3 value-priced items available. There are also a lot of fun places to eat and drink before or after the game within a short walk of the arena.
