Cheer Up, released in 2016, was the best performing single on Gaon's digital chart that year. The song won Song of the Year at Melon Music Awards and MAMA, two major awards shows in South Korea. TT, another cute, catchy song, was massively popular. It stayed on the top of the Gaon Digital Chart for four weeks. TT stands for the crying emoji.

was the highest selling K-pop girl group album in 2016. Twice is the first K-pop girl group to achieve RIAJ (Recording Industry Association of Japan) platinum certification for both an album and a CD single in the same year.
