Toyota Center Tickets

Toyota Center, named after the automobile company, is located in Downtown Houston. It's the venue where the Houston Rockets basketball team plays their home games, and it used to be the home of the former Houston Aeros hockey team of the AHL. Construction started in 2001 after several years during which the Rockets organization pushed for a new arena. The Toyota Center officially opened in 2003 with approximately 18,000 seats. In addition to hosting basketball games, it has also hosted concerts, UFC events, the 2008 Latin Grammy Awards and community events. Where can I park?

Guests attending Toyota Center events will find parking in the Toyota Tundra Garage, at 1515 Jackson Street. This seven-story garage has 2,500 spaces, and it's connected to the arena via a private sky bridge. There are many other garages and surface lots in the neighborhood.

Can I take public transportation to Toyota Center?

Buses run throughout downtown Houston, so those traveling from other parts of the city can likely find a convenient route that puts them close to the arena. The light rail is a good option as well. Trains run along Main, Rusk and Capitol Streets.

What is the seating arrangement like?

The arena's floor is sunk down 32 feet below street level so that guests in the upper sections don't have to climb as many steps. The lower concourse consists of sections 101 through 126, and the upper concourse consists of sections 401 through 434. Premium seats are located in between these two levels. During concerts, floor seats may be opened up; these would be in sections A through F.

Are there any suites?

There are different types of suites available. Executive suites seat 15, loft suites have room for 35 and penthouse suites can accommodate up to 100. All of these suites include private entrance to the arena and a limited number of VIP parking passes, and you can select from various food and beverage packages.

What are the choices for food and drink?

The offerings at Toyota Center are plentiful. Many stands and counters are run by chain restaurants such as Pizza Hut and Space City Dogs. Burritos and tacos, Philly cheesesteaks, burgers, Texas BBQ, nachos, pretzels and salad are some of the items available for purchase. A variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages can be enjoyed at the arena, including beer, wine, spirits and cocktails.
