About Tim Hawkins

The middle-aged Hawkins tried a variety of jobs before committing to stand-up comedy full-time, including driving a grocery delivery truck. He draws most of his comedic material from personal experience in raising and homeschooling his four children with his wife in their busy home in Missouri.

Approximately three hundred million viewers watch online videos of his stand-up show, and he interacts with half a million friends on Facebook. Loyal fans attend sold-out shows throughout the country.

In addition to his hilarious musings, Hawkins’ celebrated parody “Cletus Take the Wheel,” a riff on Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus Take the Wheel,” is always a crowd pleaser. Other parodies include “My Arms Are Broken,” taken from Creed’s “With Arms Wide Open” and the Plain White T’s “Hey There Delilah” from the point of view of Samson. His tribute to aging rockers includes Eric Clapton’s “Cocaine” transformed to “Rogain,” Tom Petty’s “Don’t Come Around Here No More” to “Don’t Come on My Lawn No More,” and the Eagles’ iconic “Hotel California” to “(I’m a Greeter at) Walmart in California.”

Hawkins graduated from the University of Missouri, where he played right field for two seasons on their baseball team and earned top rankings for season triples, career triples and career slugging percentage.

DVDs of his stand-up performances include Full Range of Motion, I’m No Rock Star and That’s the Worst. In addition to numerous DVD and CD recordings, Hawkins published a book, Diary of a Jackwagon, in 2015.
