The Kills Background

The Kills are made up of Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince. The duo met while Mosshart was on a European tour with another band. The two began writing songs together and eventually formed The Kills. The album helped the band attract a lot of attention from fans and they quickly developed a large fan base. The Kills was a stark departure from the two's previous bands. They recorded minimalist music, which featured the use of drum machines. Something that neither member had used before.

Greatest Hits

Over the course of their career, The Kills have released four studio albums. Their debut album, Keep on Your Mean Side was released in 2003. Two years later, they released their second album. No Wow climbed to No. 18 on the US Heatseakers chart. It received positive reviews, getting a four star rating from Allmusic. In 2008, the band released their third album, Midnight Boom. The album hit No. 1 on the US Heatseakers chart. It received great reviews from critics and got a five star rating from Allmusic. The album features the songs U.R.A. Fever, Cheap and Cheerful, Last Day of Magic and Tape Song. Their most recent album was released in 2011 and is titled Blood Pressures.
