'Steven Trout was named head baseball coach at Texas State on July 1, 2019. He started with the Bobcats as a volunteer assistant in 2009. He spent the 2016-2017 season as an assistant coach. From 2018 to 2010, he served as associate head coach. He also spent three seasons as an assistant coach at West Virginia and one as head coach at Texarkana College.
