Tedeschi Trucks Band was formed in 2010 by husband and wife team
Derek Trucks
and
Susan Tedeschi
in Jacksonville, Fla., after first touring together as the Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi's Soul Stew Revival in 2007. As soon as the Tedeschi Trucks Band hit the scene, it took the music world by storm, earning the Best Blues Album Grammy Award for its debut album, 2011's
Revelator
. The band began its prolific life on the road on April 1, 2010, at the

In addition to cofounders Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, other members of the Tedeschi Trucks Band include Tyler Greenwell and J.J. Johnson on drums and percussion as well as Mike Mattison, Mark Rivers and Alecia Chakour on harmony vocals. Ephraim Owens plays the trumpet, Elizabeth Lea is on trombone, Kebbi Williams plays sax and Brandon Boone is on bass guitar.
