Todd Joseph Miller, more commonly referred to as TJ Miller, was born in Denver in June 1981. Miller took part in drama throughout high school where he was often referred to as the class clown, though it is said that he was much more intuitive of human behaviors than most teenagers. In 2003 Miller graduated from George Washington University with a bachelor's degree in psychology. During college, Miller was a member of the comedy group Recess and studied in circus arts. He also attended a drama academy in London for one summer while in college where he studied Shakespeare.
