Swedish House Mafia is a supergroup consisting of the three successful Swedish DJs – Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello – founded in 2008. After five years and two mix albums, they initially disbanded in March 2013. The group then reunited five years later as a “surprise” guest closing out the 20th Ultra Music Festival following heavy rumors and various teasers started to show up in the Miami area.
Around seven months later, on October 22, 2018, the trio officially announced their reunion at a press conference in Stockholm. It was preceded by a countdown in the days leading up to the announcement. The Save the World Reunion Tour followed in 2019, but the trio did not release new music until putting out “It Gets Better” on July 15, 2021 – their first release since “Don’t You Worry Child” nearly nine years prior. Swedish House Mafia released their first studio album, Paradise Again, on April 15, 2022.
