Sturgis events

Located an hour north of Rapid City, Sturgis is a small city in western South Dakota that's notable for being home to one of the world's largest motorcycle rallies. Each year, hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts come visit this rugged town to enjoy the festivities. So if you're planning a ride to Sturgis during its annual rally, you're sure to have the time of your life.

Sturgis tickets

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is a 10-day event happening during the first two weeks of August. Even though the rally started with only nine riders in 1938, it has since grown exponentially. Approximately half a million visitors now come to Sturgis every August to participate in bike shows, go camping and see their favorite bands play live.

Several outdoor music festivals happen in conjunction with the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. They're usually held at campgrounds, and it's possible to stay overnight, which is especially convenient if you're coming from out of town. Just be sure to get your Sturgis concert tickets for these events before they sell out.

Buffalo Chip Grounds hosts the largest Sturgis festival, and past headliners have included Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch and Alice Cooper. Broken Spoke Saloon and Campground also has its own festival, and Queens of the Stone Age, LIT and Bush have all played here in recent years.
