Soundset Music Festival Tickets
For over a decade, the Soundset Music Festival has been the premier destination for hip-hop music fans around the world. Soundset features both internationally acclaimed artists as well as local talent, culminating in over ten hours of nonstop music and entertainment across five different stages. The festival is held annually on Memorial Day weekend within the Minnesota State Fairground and has more than tripled in size since the inaugural festival in 2008. Aside from world-class artists and music, Soundset also offers local food and drinks, live painting, dance competitions, skateboarding and more.
Rhymesayers Entertainment and the Birth of Soundset
In 1997, two years after being founded, Rhymesayers Entertainment, an independent hip-hop record label based in Minneapolis, hosted an event featuring local underground emcees, DJs and rappers in a warehouse. Eventually, the event evolved to a weekly showcase known as Soundset Wednesdays at First Avenue. Finally, in 2008, the first Soundset Music Festival would be held in a parking lot. Founders of Rhymesayers Entertainment Sean Daley and Anthony Davis headlined the very first Soundset with their hip-hop due Atmosphere. Since 2008, Soundset has featured more than 400 artists including Lil Wayne, Migos, G-Eazy and ASAP Rocky and has entertained more than a quarter of a million people from all 50 states and countries all over the world.
