'Slipknot Tickets'

'Slipknot has been a well-known metal band since they debuted in 1999 with their self-titled album. Their eccentric appearance with masks is well-documented, having started before their debut when percussionist Shawn Crahan took a liking to a clown mask during practices. They have released five studio albums to date, having taken a short hiatus between most releases, including before recording their sixth album, which will soon be released. Slipknot has won 25 awards as of 2019 with the most notable being their 2006 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for their single Before I Forget.'

'We Are Not Your Kind'

'

The band began forming in 1991 in Des Moines, Iowa, but went through multiple lineup changes and band names to settle on Slipknot in 1995. After releasing a self-produced album on Halloween in 1996, Slipknot decided they needed a more melodic singer, which is when they hired Corey Taylor from the local band

Stone Sour

. In June 1998, Slipknot got their first record deal through Roadrunner Records. They signed a half-million dollar, seven-album contract. About a year later, Slipknot released their self-titled debut album just in time to perform in the 1999

Ozzfest

lineup. Less than a year later,

Slipknot

became the first album released by Roadrunner to go platinum. Their second album,

Iowa

, was highly anticipated and peaked at No. 3 on the

Billboard

charts. However, they went on a hiatus following their first large-venue headlining tour, and many members revived old projects or started new ones. Slipknot reunited in 2003 to release 2004's

Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)

. The album peaked at No. 2 on the

Billboard

charts. It included many of their popular singles including Before I Forget, Vermillion and Duality. After touring, the band went on another hiatus before releasing

All Hope Is Gone

, which became the first Slipknot album to hit No. 1 on the

Billboard

charts. It featured Psychosocial, Snuff, Dead Memories and Sulfur. The next year, in 2009, they released a 10-year anniversary edition of

Slipknot

and toured extensively before their next hiatus. They returned exclusively to the stage for a couple of years and created the annual festival

Knotfest

before producing 2014's

.5: The Gray Chapter

. The 2014 lineup changes caused tension within the band, so they went on hiatus once again. They returned with the standalone single All Out Life on Halloween in 2018 and are set to release their next album,

We Are Not Your Kind

, in August 2019.

'What songs are on Slipknot's setlist?'

'

Slipknot's current tour is in support of their upcoming album

'

'Will Slipknot wear their masks during concerts?'

'All members of Slipknot always wear their masks throughout every concert. It is not only a part of the band image but also assists in keeping the band members' privacy.'

'Who are the members of Slipknot?'

'The only member who has been with Slipknot since their 1995 formation is Shawn Clown Crahan, who plays percussion. Keyboardist Craig 133 Jones and guitarist Mick Thompson both joined in 1996. Lead singer Corey Taylor came next in 1997. Sid Wilson, who performs on turntables and keyboards, joined in 1998. Guitarist Jim Root became a member of Slipknot in 1999 and was the last of the current members to join before the release of their first album. Two lineup changes happened in 2014, which is when drummer Jay Weinberg and bassist Alessandro Venturella came along.'

'What can I expect to see at a Slipknot concert?'

'Slipknot is a high-energy band who tries to make their shows as over-the-top as possible. The stage setup is often highly elaborate to accentuate the band's energy. The choreography of a Slipknot concert may include pyrotechnics, elevated stage areas, computer screens, hydraulic drum risers and more.'
