Canadian rock band Simple Plan has been on the music since 1999, having released five studio albums in this time. This tight-knit band is one of very few that has never experienced a line-up change. They've performed
Vans Warped Tour
10 times and even got to play at the closing ceremony for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The philanthropic quintet used their fame to create the
Simple Plan Foundation
to help underprivileged teens. Simple Plan has also won two Juno Awards, six MuchMusic Video Awards, a Teen Choice Award and more.

Simple Plan formed in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1999. In 2002, they released their debut album
No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls
which was an immediate hit. The album was certified double platinum and reached No. 35 on the
Billboard 200
chart. Collaborations with
blink-182's
Mark Hoppus and
Good Charlotte's
Joel Madden were both featured on the album which produced the four singles I'm Just A Kid, I'd Do Anything, Perfect and Addicted. Simple Plan followed up with 2004's,
Still Not Getting Any...
, which included singles such as Untitled (How Could This Happen To Me?), Shut Up! and Welcome To My Life. It peaked at No. 3, which is the band's highest to date. The album once again went platinum. 2008 brought Simple Plan's third studio self-titled album. It peaked at No. 14 with singles, Your Love Is A Lie, Save You and When I'm Gone.
Get Your Heart On!
features a few collaborations similar to their debut album. This time Simple Plan worked with
Weezer's
Rivers Cuomo,
Natasha Bedingfield
,
All Time Low's
Alex Gaskarth and
K'naan
. All of the singles except for Astronaut had featuring artists. It took five years for Simple Plan to release their next album,
Taking One For The Team
, which came in 2016. It peaked at No. 94 on the
Billboard 200
making it their least successful album to date. They did a couple more collaborations on this album with Juliet Simms of Automatic Loveletter, Jordan Pundik of
New Found Glory
,
R. City
and
Nelly
. Simple Plan's sixth studio album is expected to release sometime in 2019.
''Tickets for all upcoming Simple Plan concerts can be purchased at StubHub.'
'Simple Plan will be playing a couple of shows in their home country of Canada, but they don't have any large-scale tour announced at this time. However, they are planning to release their sixth studio album sometime this year, so they will likely announce a tour around the time of the release.'
'Even though Simple Plan has been going strong for 20 years, you can still see them with their full original line-up. Pierre Bouvier is the band's lead singer. He occasionally provides some additional guitar and percussion. He was also the band's sole basis for the first few months, but they added David Desrosiers before Simple Plan ever made their debut. The band has two guitarists. Jeff Stinco plays lead and Sébastien Lefebvre plays rhythm guitar. Chuck Comeau is the drummer and percussionist. Sébastien Lefebvre and David Desrosiers both perform backing vocals as well.'
'There will likely be songs from their upcoming sixth studio album added to the setlist, but favorites from the past always remain. I'd Do Anything, Addicted, Shut Up, Welcome To My Life, Perfect, I'm Just A Kid, Boom! and Jump are usually all included in the setlist.'
'
Simple Plan often gets involved in festivals. They will be partaking in this year's
Four Chord Music Festival
.
''
There are no announcements as to who will support Simple Plan on their next tour. In the past, they have performed with acts such as
Avril Lavigne
, Good Charlotte,
Green Day
,
Cute Is What We Aim For
,
Metro Station
,
Tonight Alive
and
We The Kings
.
