Silvestre Dangond started performing immediately after graduating high school. In 2003, he met and became fast friends with Columbian accordionist Juancho de la Espriella. Dangond and Espriella released an album titled
Lo Mejor Para Los Dos
, which translates to The Best for the Two of Us, in 2003. The duo's second studio album,
Mas Unidos Que Nunca,
which translates to More United Than Ever, was released in 2004. The two continued to perform and record together until 2012, when they went their separate ways. Silvestre Dangond released his first solo album,

, in 2013. The album hit No. 4 on

Tropical Albums chart, and Dangond has remained in the public eye ever since.
