Shrek tickets are now available for this show that has been making both children and their parents laugh since the original production appeared, in the form of DreamWorks Animation. Since the film was adapted for the stage in Seattle the play has swept the nation for its original lyrics and music that makes for a fun evening for the entire family!
Though most audiences recognize this originally Seattle-based play thanks to the DreamWorks Animation film, the musical and film are both based on the 1990 book “Shrek!” written by William Steig. Since the success of the film, DreamWorks studios stepped for the first time into negotiations with theater companies and created a brand new musical, with lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winner David Linsay-Abaire and music by Olivier Award winner Jeanine Tesori.
