'The Salt Lake Bees were originally called the Salt Lake Buzz. From 1994-2000, the Buzz was the Triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. The team was successful in putting up a winning record in all seven seasons and advancing to the Pacific Coast League finals twice. After the 2000 season, the team became the Triple-A affiliate of the Angels and was renamed the Salt Lake Stingers. The name change was due to a lawsuit from Georgia Tech University over the name Buzz. In 2006, the Stingers changed its name to the Bees. Under the new name, the Bees made the playoffs for three straight seasons between 2006 and 2008 before missing the playoffs for the next four years. The 2013 season saw the Bees make a run to the Pacific Coast Championship, where they lost in the finals. 'Who is the manager of the Salt Lake Bees?'

'Before the 2019 season, the Bees hired former Major League Baseball catcher Lou Marson to be their manager. Marson was only 32 when the Angels hired him to manage their Triple-A squad, making him barely older than several of his players. Before coaching, Marson had a six-year Major League career. A fourth-round draft pick by the Philadelphia Phillies, Marson spent most of his Major League career with the Cleveland Indians between 2010 and 2012. He served as the hitting coach for the Bees in 2017 and was named the manager of the Angels' Double-A squad, the Mobile BayBears. After putting up a 66-70 record in Mobile, he was promoted to manager of the Bees. In his first season with the Bees, Marson put up a record of 60-79.'

'Some of the most recognizable names in baseball spent time playing for the Bees. Infielder and World Series MVP David Freese played 10 games for the Bees over the span of two years.
