Rogers Cup Tickets

The Rogers Cup, also known as the Canadian Open, is one of the top tennis tournaments in the world. Featuring a hard court surface, the tournament is part of the Masters 1000 on the men’s side and the Premier 5 on the women’s side. The Rogers Cup also holds the distinction of being one of the few tournaments that is split between two cities — Toronto and Montreal. The men play in one city while the women play in the other, and they alternate every year. The tournament has a long, rich history that dates backs to 1881 on the men’s side and 1892 on the women’s side. This makes it one of the longest-running tennis tournaments in the world — superseded only by

Wimbledon

and the

US Open

. Past winners have included Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Steffi Graf, Andre Agassi, Chris Evert, John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, Martina Navratilova, Margaret Court and Rod Laver. Grab your Rogers Cup tickets at StubHub.

How is the Rogers Cup draw determined?

The tournament bracket is created the weekend before the start of the main tournament. The top two seeds are placed on opposite sides of the bracket while the remaining spots are filled out afterward. Since this is an open tournament, any players ranked outside of the top 50 will need to qualify for the main bracket. These qualifying matches take place on the first weekend of the tournament. The main draw begins directly afterward and continues until a winner is determined. The results of the tournament count toward the regular season standings.
