''The Purdue Boilermakers baseball team first appeared on the field in 1888 and joined the Big Ten Conference in 1906. The team had a historic season in 2012, finishing the year with 45 wins and going on to win their first Big Ten Title since 1909. They were also selected as one of 16 hosts for the NCAA Regionals. Through the years, they have appeared in three NCAA Regionals with the last appearance in 2018. They have also appeared in 18 Big Ten Tournaments since 1981. Purdue’s Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame includes 167 total inductees, which is less than 2% of all Boilermakers in history. A few of the Boilermakers baseball players inducted into the Hall of Fame include Terry Dischinger, W.P. Dutch Fehring, Bill Moose Skowron, Jewell Young, Bernie Allen and Joe Sexson. Alexander Field
in West Lafayette, Ind., is the home field for the Purdue Boilermakers since the 2013 season. Before that, the team played at Lambert Field from 1965 to 2012. Named in honor of the former head baseball coach, Dave Alexander's late parents, the state-of-the-art brick stadium encompasses the team locker room, team meeting room, sports medicine room and an indoor hitting facility. It has a seating capacity of 1,500 that is expandable to 2,500 and includes luxury boxes, bleachers and berm seating.
''Greg Goff was assigned as the Boilermakers Head Coach in June 2019 after serving as the volunteer assistant coach for two years. Before Purdue, Goff served as head coach for Campbell University, Louisiana Tech, University of Alabama and Division II University of Montevallo. He has over 15 years of coaching experience. He is assisted on the field by assistant coaches, Chris Marx and Cooper Fouts, and volunteer assistant coach Harry Shipley.'
