Over 6.3 million viewers attend PRCA-sanctioned rodeo eventseverywhere at locations in cities like Kansas City, Mo., Bismarck, ND, and Yuma, Ariz., to name a few. What events take place at a PRCA Rodeo?

Unlike other sports, a PRCA Rodeo incorporates several different event types in which the top participants in each class are recognized. PRCA Rodeos typically include the following events: All Around, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping (Healers), Tie-Down Roping, Bull Riding, Bareback Riding, Team Roping (Headers), Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Roping and Barrel Racing. In 2003, the PRCA also developed an Xtreme Bulls Tour to satisfy public interest for events that featured bull riding solely. To date, the PRCA promotes over 5,000 contestants and inducts members into its ProRodeo Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs.

What is the schedule for PRCA Rodeo events in 2020?

PRCA Rodeo events will take place across the country, beginning on Jan. 13, 2020 in Denver, CO and ending on September 20, 2020 in Davie, FL. Tickets for specific events near you can be found at StubHub.

What are the current PRCA tours and circuits?

In addition to the PRCA ProRodeo tour, there are also five other national tours and circuits that will promote PRCA riders and sponsors. The RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo takes place from August 2020 to January 2021. This event caters to participants who might not be able to travel as far and as often as the PRCA ProRodeo Circuit would require. Other circuits include Legacy Steer Roping, PRCA Xtreme Bulls, PRCA Xtreme Broncs and The American. The American consists of the top ten participants in PRCA standings and takes place at AT&T Stadiumin Arlington, Texas, March 7–8, 2020.

What stock has been recognized for their participation in PRCA Rodeo events?

Though most of the focus is put on the participants in PRCA Rodeos, this institution also recognizes the stock that is behind the success of these events. Every year, the PRCA announces their Stock of the Year to recognize the animals that set high standards. In the Bareback Riding class Killer Bee, Virgil and Top Flight earned high awards, while Get Smart, Medicine Woman and Spring Planting excelled in Saddle Bronc Riding. The Bull Riding class recognized Hot & Ready, SweetPro's Bruiser and Spotted Demon as exceptional contenders.
