On October 29, 1999, Raleigh experienced their first ever ice hockey game when the Carolina Hurricanes hosted a game against the New Jersey Devils. Now, PNC Arena is home to the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League and N.C. State Wolfpack men's basketball team, which is in Division I of the NCAA. What is the PNC Arena's seating capacity?

The capacity of seats depends on the events taking place at the Arena. For basketball games, there are 19,722 seats available for fans, whereas hockey games have 18,680 available seats. There are 59 suites in PNC Arena along with 13 loge boxes and 2000 club seats.

Can I ask for a Hurricane players autograph?

What is Kid Check?

Kid Check is a child safety program that is free for all PNC Arena guests. When you arrive for an event with your child, head to guest services to provide some vital information for your child's wristband. If for some reason you are separated from your child, and a staff member sees them alone with a wristband, they will quickly and safely escort them to guest services where they can meet you.

What are the food and beverage options at PNC Arena?

Is it cold during hockey games?

Because the surface of the ice needs to be maintained during games, the arena is set to a chilly 60 degrees Fahrenheit during all hockey games. However, during most other events the temperature in the PNC Arena generally stays between 68 and 70 degrees. If you tend to get chilly in colder temperatures, you may want to consider bringing a light jacket if you're planning to attend a hockey event.
