'The Gerston Pavilion is the home of the Lions basketball team. It was opened in 1981 and has a seating capacity of 4,156. The arena was updated for 2019 with a brand-new athletic mark on the court floor with vivid crimson and blue. The lighting has also been updated and now has programming options. There are court lines for volleyball and for basketball that allow for easy transitioning, and the extended men's three-point line is now visible. In 2019, the NCAA approved moving the three-point line to 22 feet and 1 and 3/4 inches to match the international basketball distance. This rule is effective across Division I for the 2019-20 season.'

'The Lions have a long-standing rivalry with Pepperdine. Recently, both schools have created the Pacific Coast Highway Cup as a point-tracking system for games between the Lions and the Waves.
