''The Palm Beach Cardinals serve as the Class-A Advanced affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. Palm Beach has represented the Cardinals in the Florida State League since the 2003 season. Before 2003, the franchise was located in Port Charlotte, Fla. and was an affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The Charlotte Rangers, as they were known during that era, made six playoff appearances in their 16-year run in Port Charlotte. Those six trips to the postseason resulted in two Florida State League Championships in 1989 and 2002. The St. Louis Cardinals became the parent organization in 2003. They relocated the team to Palm Beach and renamed them after their Big League squad. By 2005, the Cardinals had won the third league title in franchise history. Although they experienced a playoff drought between 2009 and 2014, the Cardinals got things turned around and made the postseason three out of the next four seasons. With postseason appearances in two of the last three seasons, including another league championship, the 2020 Cardinals look to get back to the top. 'Over the course of the franchise's 17-year run with the St. Louis Cardinals, the Palm Beach Cardinals have seen several alumni work their way up to the Major Leagues. Pitchers Shelby Miller and Alex Reyes both took the mound in Palm Beach before they made it to St. Louis. Second baseman Kolten Wong and outfielder Oscar Taveras are also listed among Palm Beach Cardinals alums who have found success in the Majors.'
'The Palm Beach Cardinals play their home games at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. They share the facility with both the St. Louis Cardinals, who use the ballpark during Spring Training and the Jupiter Hammerheads who are an affiliate of the Miami Marlins. The 6,871-seat stadium mostly boasts a traditional Minor League seating layout with a seating bowl in the lower level with other seats available in the second deck. There is also a grassy berm that sits just beyond the right-field wall. The stadium has taken steps to represent both parent organizations of the club that calls the stadium home, as the left side of the stadium is dedicated to the Marlins while the right side is covered with Cardinals' logos and banners.'

There are multiple layers to the rivalry between the Palm Beach Cardinals and the
Jupiter Hammerheads.
Not only do both teams battle for South Division supremacy in the Florida State League but they also both fight for the right to be called the best team in Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. The Cardinals and the Hammerheads play their home games in the same stadium, which means they are battling for bragging rights in their own home.
''Dann Bilardello will be returning for his fifth season as the manager of the Palm Beach Cardinals in 2020. The 2020 season will be Coach Bilardello's 14th season as a manager and his 15th in the St. Louis Cardinals' organization. During his tenure with Palm Beach, Bilardello saw his 2017 team win a share of the Florida State League Championship and was named the Florida State League Manager of the Year in 2018. Before managing Palm Beach, he served as the manager of the Cardinals' Double-A affiliate in Springfield who he took to the playoffs in 2016. Bilardello launched his managerial career in 2002 in the Dodgers' organization when he retired after an eight-year playing career.'
