Not only does the PAC 12 Conference have a good football program, but its overall sports program has won more team sports NCAA National Championships than any other conference. Although no Pac 12 team played for the National Championship in the 2018 season, seven of the 12 teams did play in bowl games at the end of the season. Those teams were Arizona State, California, Oregon, Stanford, Utah, Washington and Washington State. Some of the great Pac 12 football players include John Elway, Ronnie Lott, Jim Plunkett, Andrew Luck, Troy Aikman, Carson Palmer, Pat Tillman, Marcus Allen and Drew Bledsoe. An interesting bit of PAC 12 trivia is about Arizona. It is the only PAC 12 team that has never played in a Rose Bowl game. Get your PAC 12 Championship football tickets at StubHub.

The rivalries between UCLA and USC, California and Stanford, Arizona and Arizona State, Colorado and Utah, Washington and Washington State, and Oregon and Oregon State could play a part in the PAC 12 Championship football competition.
These are the games to watch week by week to see the progress of the participating teams toward the PAC 12 Championship football game. The season starts with the Aug. 31 matchup between Oregon and Auburn. Oregon could make a statement with a win. It has four wins and five losses against SEC teams. On Sept. 7, Stanford is at USC. In recent games, Stanford has won seven games and lost four games to USC. On Sept. 20, Utah plays at USC. Only once has the visiting team been the winner in this matchup. Oregon is at Stanford on Sept. 21. The winner of this game could rival Washington for the PAC 12 North Championship. Washington is at Stanford on Oct. 5. The results of this game and the previous week’s game against USC will show how strong Washington is. From 1977 to 2003, Stanford only won two games and lost 20 games to Washington, but since then Stanford has won nine games and lost five. Oregon plays at Washington on Oct. 19. This could be the deciding game for the PAC 12 North title. On Nov. 2, Utah plays at Washington. Washington has won six and lost one game to Utah. UCLA takes on USC on Nov. 23 for the intracity rivalry. The same day, California is at Stanford. California currently has a nine-game winning streak over Stanford, which is a record for this matchup. On Nov. 29, Washington State is at Washington.
The teams to watch in 2019 are Washington, Oregon and Utah.
