'About Pablo Alboran'

'

Pablo Alboran, the Spanish singer-songwriter, would become a massive hit starting in 2011 in his native country first and later on charts all over the globe. In addition to releasing several chart-topping albums and singles, he has won a number of nominations at the Latin Grammys, all for his own material.

Born in Malaga, Spain on May 31, 1989 as Pablo Moreno de Alboran Ferrandiz, he would learn to play guitar as a child and would write his first tunes at the age of 12. Eventually, he would sign a recording contract with the major EMI label and released his self-titled debut album in 2011. Including the number one hit, Solamente Tu, the eponymous full-length release topped the album charts in Spain for six straight weeks, making Alboran one of the most successful newcomers of the year in his native country. Miedo, a follow-up single, also made the charts, and the record would eventually be certified platinum six times over in Spain. At the end of the year, he issued the live album En Acustico, which generated its own couple of hits, Te He Echado de Menos and the number one Perdoname (with fado guest vocals from Portuguese artist Carminho).

Touring, in addition to composing and studio sessions for his second album, took up most of the following year for Alboran. By November of 2012, however, his next album and single (both named Tanto) had arrived. Though perhaps not thought possible, Tanto would be an even bigger hit than Alboran's debut, topping the charts in his native Spain for several weeks and selling almost twice as many discs. Two following singles, Quien and El Beso, would also rise to number one. His third studio release, Terral, would appear in 2014. Entirely written by Alboran and co-produced by Eric Rosse and Alboran in Los Angeles, the album would not only be a huge hit in Spain but also Alboran's first release to top the U.S. Latin charts. The singles Pasos de Cero and Por Fin would both be number one hits in Spain, solidifying Alboran's unquestionable status as the most popular musician in that country.

The debut effort from the 21-year-old romantic vocalist Pablo Alboran included all of his own material. With Manuel Illan behind the boards, many of its tracks had already attained YouTube success in domestic releases showing Alboran playing alone with his guitar in front of a webcam. Pablo Alboran includes duets with Diana Navarro (Solamente Tu) and Estrella Morente (Desencuentro), the former of which was a chart-topping single. The album's digital release includes a bonus track entitled Cuando Te Alejas. This album was a huge hit in Alboran's native Spain, spending six straight weeks on the top of the charts as the first of his six-time platinum studio albums.

Later in 2011, En Acustico arrived as a follow up to Alboran's debut as the most successful new artist from Spain. The live album's quick DVD-CD appearance for the Christmas season includes all of the tunes from his first record in intimate acoustic, live versions. In truth, they hardly differ from the originals because Alboran is essentially a romantic balladeer. Duets with Diana Navarro and Carminho, the young Portuguese fado vocalist, are included here, in addition to Cuando Te Alegas (previously available only on the digital edition of Alboran's debut), and two new tracks: No Te Olvidare and Te He Echado de Menos. The former's studio version also appears as a bonus track, along with Portuguese, Spanish, and studio recordings of Perdoname.

Tanto, which means so much, is Alboran's second studio album. It would appear in November of 2012 in Spain. The album would rise to the top of the charts in Spain and Portugal and serves as a follow-up to the singer-songwriter's self-titled debut from 2011. The lead title single would appear two months before the album, and it would also rise to the top of the Spanish Singles Chart.

Alboran's third studio album was Terral, which was scheduled for release through Warner Music in November of 2014. The record was written by Alboran, and Eric Rosse composed and produced the effort. The album's lead single Por Fin, was issued mid-September in 2014. The song would be another Spanish chart-topper for several straight weeks. The second single, Pasos de Cero, was issued as a pre-order in early October of that year. In January of 2015, it would be released officially alongside its music video. In June of 2015, Recuerdame was issued as the album's third single, also accompanied by a music video.

'Trivia'

'In 2002, when Pablo Alboran was 12, he composed two songs that would appear ten years later on his album debut: Desencuentro (meaning disagreement) and Amor de Barrio (meaning neighborhood love).'
