'The Oshawa Generals traces its team history to 1937. Playing in the Ontario Hockey League, the team is named after its original sponsor, General Motors. in 1990. He played junior hockey for the Ottawa 67's. As a professional, Greg Walters played for teams that included the St. John's Maple Leafs and Rochester Americans of the AHL. Walters' assistant coaches are Nathan McIver and Greg Nemisz.
