In 1894, Oregon won its first football game, which it played against Albany College. Team supporters could have taken the final score of 44-3 as a good omen that success would keep coming. For instance, in 1910, the team beat the University of Puget Sound, 115-0. Overall, the team has won 11 conference titles, won four divisional championships, produced a Heisman Trophy winner (Marcus Mariota), and had a streak of going to bowl games for eleven years from 2005 to 2016. In the modern era, they've played in five BCS bowl games, making it all the way to the
College Football Playoffs
National Championship in 2015. That year, they ended up losing to Ohio State after beating Florida State in the semi-finals at the Rose Bowl. If you'd like to cheer on these perennial contenders in person, you can get your Oregon Ducks Football tickets at StubHub.
''Autzen Stadium is an outdoor facility just north of the University of Oregon's main campus. It was built in 1967 and has been renovated several times, most significantly in 2002. The stadium's seating capacity is listed at 54,000, but it can accommodate up to 60,000 fans when the standing room is accounted for. The players play on artificial field turf, and large video screens help fans get a better look at key plays.'
'Tailgating is allowed as long as the festivities are contained to the dimensions of a parking space. Parking lots around the stadium are typically opened six hours prior to kickoff, but no earlier than 7 a.m.'
'You may bring in personal items as long as they fit in either a small clutch or purse or a clear bag no larger than 12“ ” x 6“ ” x 12“ ”. Seat cushions are allowed if they're no thicker than four inches and no taller than 19 inches.'
'Gates to the Moshofsky Center open up three hours before kickoff. This center is where you can grab a meal or drink before the festivities start. Gates that give you access to your seats are opened an hour and a half prior to kickoff. Note that re-entry is not permitted during the game. If you want to see the players up close before the game, hang out near the Moshofsky Center 2.5 hours before kickoff to watch them march into the locker room before warm-ups.'
'There are Autzen Stadium Sky Suites that can accommodate between 21 and 44 spectators. These private suites are on both the north and south side of the stadium, and they come with private kitchens, two color TVs, Club Room access, and catering services. Charter Box ticket holders get to sit in an indoor, open-air section above sections 9 through 13. These stadium seats have access to exclusive concessions and restrooms. There is also preferred seating along the sidelines. These are wider seats than standard, and they come with chair backs, armrests and cupholders.'
