'Since beginning in 1902, the Oregon Ducks' basketball program has produced a number of basketball greats who went on to become stars in the NBA. The program has boasted several excellent collegiate athletes as well. In 1939, Oregon basketball became known nationally when the Ducks beat Ohio State 46-33 in the first National Championship game. Since that time, Oregon has made it to the Elite Eight several times, making the team a consistent threat to go all the way and win the NCAA Championship. Oregon is now led by head coach Dana Altman, who had previously coached for Creighton and Kansas State. The team faces some of the toughest teams in the country each year, including UCLA, Arizona and Stanford. Get your tickets for live Oregon Ducks' basketball games at StubHub.'

The Oregon Ducks play in the PAC-12, which is one of the strongest conferences in the nation. Some of their biggest conference rivals include the
Arizona State Sun Devils
,
USC Trojans
, Washington Huskies and Washington State Cougars. However, the Oregon State Beavers have been the Ducks' biggest rivals for over a century. After all, Oregon State is just an hour away from the University of Oregon in Corvallis. The two schools kicked off one of the nation's oldest college rivalries, known by die-hard fans as The Civil War, when the schools' football teams first battled each other in 1898. When the Oregon Ducks organized a basketball team in 1902, the rivalry was carried onto the court. It continues as a fierce rivalry each and every year.
''The University of Oregon joined what would later be named the PAC-12 in 1915. In its history, the Ducks have gone on to win six regular-season conference titles. Since the PAC-12 started having a conference tournament, the Ducks have won this tourney five times. They won the PAC-12 tournament, which means an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament, in 2019.'
'Opened on January 13, 2011, Matthew Knight Arena is the home of Oregon Ducks basketball games. The arena has a seating capacity of 12,364 and is a multi-function facility, used for other events like acrobatics, volleyball games, community events and concerts when the team is not playing at home. The floor of the basketball court is designed with shadow images of fir trees, a nod to the Tall Firs, the nickname of the 1939 Oregon championship team. The arena is designed in a way that there is not a bad seat in the house. It also includes several food concession areas and an Oregon Ducks store where fans can purchase team sportswear and other memorabilia. The Matthew Knight Arena includes a parking garage on site and public transportation that can take you to the arena.'
'In the 2018-2019 season, the Oregon Ducks' basketball team had an overall record of 25-13 and a conference record of 10-8. After winning the PAC-12 tournament, they qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the 16th time in school history. The Ducks won two games in the tournament to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. However, they were knocked out by eventual tournament winners Virginia.'
