The Ontario Reign is the AHL affiliate of the
Los Angeles Kings
of the NHL. The team only recently moved to the West Coast. Originally, it was known as the Manchester Monarchs and located nearly 3,000 miles away, playing in Manchester, N.H. The Ontario Reign plays hockey with real passion. Its players never give up, and they have more comeback wins than any other team, when playing from behind after one period. The Ontario Reign plays 68-game seasons as part of the American Hockey League. Its players are perennial contenders even though they belong to one of the newer teams in the league. In 2019-20, the Reign strung together impressive win streaks of up to five games. The Ontario Reign have great veteran leadership in the form of experienced players like Brett Sutter. They're also developing great young prospects like Rasmus Kupari, born in 2000. When the Ontario Reign is on the ice, there's a real sense that anything could happen. In their 34 yearly games at the
Toyota Arena
, the players really connect with fans. Get your Ontario Reign hockey tickets at StubHub.

The Toyota Arena is a fully modern arena, with luxury suites, a VIP Club, concessions and other amenities. This is a multipurpose arena. When it's configured for hockey, it seats up to 9,736 spectators. The Ontario Reign has a devoted fan base that really shows up to root for the players. Mike Stothers is the head coach of the Ontario Reign. So far, Stothers is the only head coach the Reign has ever had. He's been there since the inaugural 2015-16 season. In fact, he was the head coach during the last season when the team was still located in Manchester. Under Stothers' guidance, the Manchester Monarchs won their first-ever Calder Cup during their last-ever season. They had a ton of momentum during their first season in Ontario, and made the playoffs that year, too. Stothers was born in Toronto, Ongtario, Canada, and played professional hockey for teams including the Maine Mariners of the AHL. He also played some games in the NHL. When his playing career ended, Stothers transitioned into coaching. Prior to his work with the Monarchs and the Reign, Stothers was a coach for the
Moose Jaw Warriors
of the Western Hockey League from 2011-14. Mike Stothers' assistants include Chris Hajt and Jaroslav Modry.
''The Ontario Reign may be a newer AHL team, but it boasts a great deal of talent on its roster. The Reign is a great team to watch if you want to see both experienced players and youngsters who are developing. Forwards on the Reign roster include Brett Sutter, Boko Imama and Martin Frk. Defensemen include Mikey Anderson and Kale Clague. Goalies for the Reign include Cal Petersen.'
'The Ontario Reign has never won an AHL championship under its current name and in its current location. In its earlier incarnation as the Manchester Monarchs, the team won the AHL championship Calder Cup in its final season, 2014-15. Since moving to Southern California, the team made the playoffs in three of its first five seasons. In 2015-16, the Reign made it all the way to the third round of the playoffs. This is a team that fights hard and leaves it all on the ice.'
