NIT Season Tip-Off Tickets

The NIT Season Tip-Off is a college basketball tournament held annually toward the beginning of the season in November. Currently, the tournament is held over two weekends. The first rounds of the game are played at on-campus sites with the semifinal and final games being played over Thanksgiving weekend. The tournament was first founded in 1985. For the first 30 years, the tournament's final weekend was played at

Madison Square Garden

. Those games then transitioned to be held at the

Barclays Center

in Brooklyn, home of the Brooklyn Nets. The change in location also came with a change in format as the tournament would now only allow eight teams instead of 16. The NCAA mitigated this loss of games by adding a showcase game of teams that lost in the first rounds of the tournament that is also played at the Barclays Center over the final weekend. Each year, the tournament features some of the top programs in the nation. You can get your NIT Season Tip-Off tickets at StubHub, the world’s largest ticket vendor.
