New World Stages - Stage 3
New York City may be a city with plenty going on, but you're going to have a hard time topping the amazing shows and overall tradition at a place like the New World Stages. A treasured piece of the redevelopment of the off-Broadway scene, the New World Stages complex was originally built in 2004 and has since been the place to find many great shows over the years. Broken down into five different stages, there are all sorts of different ways to experience a big event, although Stage 3 tickets tend to be some of the hottest on the schedule from one year to the next.
At this point, there have been plenty of major attractions that have featured unique talents that have captivated audiences at every single turn. The Gazillion Bubble Show, Modern Orthodox and Mimi DeLuck are only a few of the shows that have gone down here, providing all sorts of different opportunities to see a performance that you could be talking about a long time after it's all over. Thanks to a rich tradition and a consistent lineup that always has fans excited, it's not exactly a surprise that the New World Stages tickets remain hot seats in the New York City area on a regular basis.
Situated inside the grounds at the original Madison Square Garden, the New World Stages serves as a strong representation of New York City's past and present. These days, the lineup remains as great as ever, as you might find an incredible show like Avenue Q, the international phenomenon that has simply taken the world by storm. Avenue Q first got started in New York all the way back in 2003 and has since been quite literally all over the globe, including in theater hot spots like London's West End, Paris, Madrid and many others as well.
A musical telling a satirical tale about entering adulthood, Avenue Q has become one of the most famous acts ever to be performed at New World Stages. Stage 3 tickets aren't the only options for World Stages either, as the other stages of various sizes have held shows like Rent, Clinton: The Musical, The Woodsman and plenty of others as well over the years. With Avenue Q first taking over Stage 3 back in 2009 and continuing to go strong, this is one of those shows that you simply have to see for yourself to appreciate why it has captivated musical lovers around the world.
Stage 3 ended up having one of the most interesting of opening acts when Mandy Patinkin took the stage in 2004 for a five-week stretch as the stage's first show. Although Patinkin is mostly known for his famous role in The Princess Bride and an array of TV shows, Patinkin is also an accomplished singer and stage star as well. Patinkin has even released an album, Mandy Patinkin Sings Sondheim, and has been featured in major live performances since all the way back in 1979, the year that he won a Tony Award for co-starring as Che Guevara in Evita.
