Season: Spring
''At the conclusion of the regular season, the 60-member NCAA Division I, which represents the highest level of men's college ice hockey, competes for a postseason championship. The NCAA men's hockey tournament features a field of 16 teams competing in a single elimination format. Six teams will receive automatic qualifications by winning their conference championships. The remaining 10 teams are selected by an expert committee every March. The teams are then seeded into four different regions based on the quality of their resumes during the regular season. Each year, there are four different locations. Manchester, New Hampshire, is frequently chosen as one of the four hosts. These locations will host both the regional semifinal and the regional final. The four winners of the regional finals will go on to play in the Frozen Four at a different location. The Frozen Four hosts both the national semifinals and the national championship games. The winner of the final game is crowned the champion of men's college hockey for the season. You can purchase your tickets to the NCAA Northeast hockey regional directly at StubHub.'
