Nashville Songwriters
is an event that showcases some of country music's brightest stars. This event introduces you to the creative names behind country music's biggest hits. Each songwriter is a gifted singer in his/her own right who performs their hits while sharing stories behind the songs. This event typically consists of six to eight award-winning songwriters whose chart-topping songs appear on the albums of country music's A-list stars. The event is annual, benefiting a series of local charities, including Kidznotes, Voyager Academy Friends of the Arts and The North Carolina Boys Academy. All of the songwriters on the program are members of the Nashville Songwriters Association International, the world's largest nonprofit songwriters trade association. The association's 5,000+ members work diligently to advocate, celebrate, educate and elevate the songwriting vocation as well as Nashville's peerless tradition of legendary songwriters. A
Nashville Songwriters
concert comprises a large handful of extraordinary artists who have collectively written nearly every single country music hit, past and present. Previous events included the likes of Tim Nichols, Nicolle Galyon, Wynn Varble and J.T. Harding. Harding was an assistant for the band Linkin Park before moving to Nashville and co-writing Smile with Uncle Kracker. Galyon met
Miranda Lambert
during a stint on
The Voice
, eventually writing a duet that Lambert recorded with Keith Urban. Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Jo Dee Messina and
Brad Paisley
are some of the other stars who have recorded songs by artists featured in the
Nashville Songwriters
lineup. If you enjoy live concerts featuring your favorite songs, explore other live concert venues in North Carolina, such as the
