Mickael Carreira, or “Micka” as he is known to his fans, is a Portuguese language singer-songwriter. This balladeer’s performances blend a unique combination of soul, rock and Latin influences. His songs tend to have messages of love, hope and romance.

His shows are known for the use of visuals including projected images, smoke machines and lasers. He has a healthy female following and predominately performs in Latin- and Portuguese-emigrating areas, including France, Switzerland and Canada, but he does put in appearances across Europe and North America.

Mickael Carreira was born on April 3, 1986, in Dourdan, France and is the son of singer Tony Carreira. As a child, he studied at a French conservatory and studied piano and voice.

His first album was the self-titled Mickael. He followed up that release with studio albums Among Us, All I Dreamed, Live Life and Without Looking Back. Carreira has had a handful of number-one singles. The English titles of his hits include “After this Night,” “Another Night with You,” “Like a Tattoo,” “Dance with Me” and “All That You Want.”

Carreira has released more than five albums, with many of them going gold and platinum. In 2013, he signed with Warner Music and released an album in Spanish. He has performed on stage with famous acts including Enrique Iglesias, and his songs have been featured on Mexican soap operas. Carreira has also served as a judge on The Voice Portugal with Marisa Liz, Anselmo Ralph and Rui Reininho.
