The Firekeepers Casino 400 is one of the most action-packed races on the
NASCAR
circuit. Since 1969, hundreds of drivers have braved the 2-mile, D-shaped
Michigan International Speedway
to compete for the flag. Each year, over 125,000 rowdy fans pack in to witness some of the most unpredictable racing in NASCAR. Aside from Cale Yarborough's inaugural 1969 victory, there have been a number of memorable races, including Greg Biffle's second consecutive win in 2006, Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s 2008 victory, breaking a 76-race drought, the 2016 Kyle Larson breakthrough after several second-place finishes and the sentimental 2018 win for veteran Clint Bowyer after several attempts. In addition to NASCAR, fans are treated to post-race concerts.
Loverboy
,
Warrant
and
Love and Theft
are just a few of the bands that have performed. To experience the FireKeepers Casino 400 up close and personal, get your tickets at StubHub.

The
Michigan International Speedway
broke ground on Sept. 28, 1967. The 2-mile, oval-shaped track opened with a seating capacity of 25,000. The entire project is estimated to have cost between $4 million and $6 million. The track has seen its share of established veterans and newcomers. One of the most notable victories was the 1969 inaugural race between Cale Yarborough and LeeRoy Yarbrough. Cale emerged with the victory after LeeRoy spun out just 300 yards from the finish line. Over the years, the Michigan International Speedway has seen its share of serious crashes. It is widely recognized as the fastest and most dangerous track in the world. The Penske family took over the speedway in 1973, and they poured millions of dollars into it. The expansions over the years have helped build Michigan International Speedway into one of the grandest venues on the NASCAR circuit.
''Due to the overwhelming number of fans, the Michigan International Speedway provides camping facilities for guests.
