MC Magic is the stage name of Hispanic
rapper and songwriter Marcus Cardenas. Born in Nogales, Mexico, MC Magic moved to Phoenix at the age of 5. He began working as a DJ during his teenage years. Under the name of MC Magic, he released his first studio album,
Don't Worry, in 1995 through Nastyboy Records. Featuring lyrics in both English and Spanish, his music transcended different cultures and boundaries, which reflects his upbringing in multiple countries. He would experience his greatest success with the release of his follow-up,
Magic City in 2006. The album peaked at No. 155 on the Billboard 200 chart, No. 60 on the US R&B chart, and No. 1 on the US Top Heatseekers chart, which tracks the top up-and-coming artists.
Magic City Part 2 followed in 2008,
The Rewire in 2011 and

Magic Act
Throughout his career, MC Magic has made his mark on the hip-hop scene. He has performed at the 2011 Summer Jam in New Mexico, the 2012 Valentine's Super Love Jam in California, the 2012 KWIN Summer Fest in California, the 2017 Summertime in the LBC and the 2018 Tropicalia Fest, both in Long Beach, California. Apart from his solo efforts, he has collaborated with Nastyboy Klick on two albums in 1997 and 1998 and with NB Ridaz on four albums between 2001 and 2008. Past MC Magic tours have included artists like DJ Kane, Lil Rob, Amanda Perez and the 1970s funk band Zapp.
