'Maryland Terrapins Basketball Tickets'

'The Maryland Terps are one of college basketball's storied programs. From the days of Coach Lefty Driesel, the Terrapins team almost always has been a national basketball power, first in the Atlantic Coast Conference and now in the Big Ten. Currently coached by Mark Turgeon, the Maryland Terps are featured prominently in the national conversation when it comes to recruiting and title chances. The Terps team has played in 11 NCAA basketball tournaments, and Turgeon seems to have a limitless talent pool making its way to College Park, especially out of the Baltimore area. The Maryland Terrapins is currently in its 100th season of basketball and has made the Sweet Sixteen 14 times and the Elite Eight five teams. The team has had 16 players selected in the NBA draft since 2000. You can get your Maryland Terrapins basketball tickets at StubHub to see the team play live.'

'Who are some of the most notable Maryland Terrapins' basketball players?'

'While Joe Smith won the National Player of the Year award and was a top NBA draft pick and Juan Dixon is the most beloved Terp in history, none quite match the greatness of Len Bias, who single-handedly put the entire program on his back for several years in the 1980s. Bias was a four-year star who averaged 23.2 points per game in his senior season before being drafted second overall by the Boston Celtics in 1986.'

'Have the Maryland Terrapins ever won a national title?'

'In the 1970s, Maryland had title-worthy teams but never quite got over the hump to win a title. That changed in 2002 when the Juan Dixon-led Terps defeated national powers Kansas and Indiana in the Final Four to win the program's first and only national title. The Maryland Terrapins have not made it past the Sweet Sixteen since then although it seemingly always has a talented squad.'

'What is the Maryland Terrapins' basketball game experience like?'

'Basketball owns the campus in College Park, and Terps fans are notoriously passionate about their basketball. The students provide a great deal of energy in the arena and make their voices heard in Sections 120 and 121, which is located behind one of the baskets. One of the highlights of the game is when a giant Maryland flag is unfurled across the entire student section and the students shake the flag up and down. Xfinity Center has always been an intimidating place to play for visiting squads, given the intensity of Terps fans.'

'Do the Maryland Terrapins have any historical rivalries?'

'

The Terps' rivalries shifted when the school moved from the Atlantic Coast Conference to the Big Ten. However, Maryland and the

University of Virginia

are still rivals and play each other practically every season. New conference rivals include Michigan and

Michigan State

. The Terps have a history of thrilling games against the Spartans. Previously, the Terps' archrival for many years was the

Duke Blue Devils

, but the schools have not played since the Terps left the ACC.

'

'How did the Maryland Terrapins' basketball schedule go last season?'

'The Terps returned to the NCAA Basketball tournament after a year on the sidelines. The Terps was a ferocious defensive team, featuring Jalen Smith and Bruno Fernando. The team won 23 games and reached the second round of the NCAA tournament before dropping a heartbreaker to LSU on the last-second basket.'

'How big is the Xfinity Center?'

'The Xfinity Center is one of the larger venues in the Big Ten. The arena seats almost 18,000 for basketball games. Against top powers, Terps' tickets are in demand as Maryland is now the preeminent basketball program in the D.C. area.'
