Manchester Music Hall

'Manchester Music Hall - The Distillery District's Premier Concert Venue
'

'

The Manchester Music Hall serves as an event venue for everything from concerts to festivals to weddings, and is one of the best places in Lexington to see live music. Occupying an old distillery, the hip space and smooth sounds are all patrons need to have an ideal night out on the town.

'

'Manchester Music Hall History'

'

Manchester Music Hall may be young, but its building is storied: Once home to Kentucky's first registered distillery, the Old Tar Distillery, bourbon was produced here all the way from the 1800s until Prohibition hit. Since then, the building has worn many hats, serving as a base for the Star Tool Company before being converted into a concert venue, Buster's Billiards and Backroom. In late 2015, the space was sold yet again and then rebranded as Manchester Music Hall.

'Manchester Music Hall Events'

'

Manchester Music Hall is set up to primarily host concerts, although other events occasionally take place on its premises. Past performers have included Lucero, Black Stone Cherry, The SteelDrivers, Sunday Best, Corey Smith and Here Come the Mummies.

Some of the venue's regular events include Vino and Vinyasa night (combining wine and yoga) and Bluegrass Brunch, which features live bluegrass, food and mimosas at midday. Manchester Music Hall has also held artisans' markets, a New Year's Eve celebration and a variety of other exciting events.

'

'Manchester Music Hall Seating Layout'

'

Manchester Music Hall generally exclusively sells general admission tickets, which offer standing room only. Depending on the show, there is sometimes a VIP option available. However, the VIP offerings are variable. Depending on the show, it could be access to tables and chairs, or it might mean an invitation to a meet and greet with the performers. The Manchester Music Hall has a maximum capacity of about 1,100.

'Lexington, Kentucky'

'

It's hard to imagine taking a trip to Kentucky without taking advantage of all the great horse racing culture everywhere. A visit to the Keeneland racetrack or the Kentucky Horse Park may be of interest to horse lovers, while history buffs may be better off exploring the Mary Todd Lincoln House, where the former First Lady spent her childhood. Lexington's beautifully landscaped Arboretum is a gorgeous place for a stroll on a sunny afternoon, and sports fans will enjoy watching the University of Kentucky Wildcats play basketball at the Rupp Arena.

Visitors looking for other places to enjoy live entertainment may be interested in checking out the schedule at Cosmic Charlie's or the Lexington Opera House.

'Trivia'

'On December 3, 2015, Manchester Music Hall held its grand opening, a free concert featuring performances by Ben Lacy, Alcatraz Shakedown, Justin Wells and Driftwood Gypsy.'
