Lucky Peterson tour dates

Lucky Peterson is an R & B artist who has been performing for most of his life. As a child, he was spotted at his father’s nightclub, the Governor’s Inn, by bluesman Willie Dixon. Dixon was fascinated by the boy’s talent and helped get him entertainment gigs, including stints on The Tonight Show, The Ed Sullivan Show, and What’s My Line? At the age of five, Lucky recorded his first album, Our Future: 5 Year Old Lucky Peterson.

Lucky’s interest in music only intensified as the years progressed, and he studied French horn, keyboard and guitar. He was a backup musician for Etta James, Little Milton and Bobby Blue Bland. Labels he has been involved with have included Alligator Records, Verve Records, Blue Thumb Records, JSP Records and Disques Dreyfus.

Most recently, Lucky collaborated with Mavis Staples on an album honoring the work of gospel singer Mahalia Jackson. That album was titled Spirituals & Gospel, and Peterson played electric organ while Staples sang. Lucky Peterson began his musical career as a child prodigy, and his musical abilities have only gotten better with time. Peterson continues to bring the music his audience looks forward to with each new concert and album.
