LA Galaxy
. The roster is comprised of players who have graduated from the academy level but are not yet ready to join the main team. LA Galaxy II was originally founded in 2014 as a member of USL, which is now the Division II tier of American soccer behind the MLS. LA Galaxy II got off to a hot start. In its second ever season, the team reached the league championship game, where it lost to the Rochester Rhinos by 2-1. The Galaxy came within moments of winning the match, but Asani Samuels scored two goals for Rochester — the first in the 92nd minute to tie the match and the second in the dying minutes of overtime to clinch the victory. LA Galaxy II tickets are available at StubHub, a leading source for live events.
''LA Galaxy II has a few big rivals in the state of California. The Orange County SC is the Galaxy’s main rival in the Los Angeles area. The teams are separated by around 30 miles and play about twice annually. The Galaxy’s other rival is the Sacramento Republic FC in northern California (though the team will move to the MLS in 2022). The USL Championship welcomes a new Californian team, the San Diego Loyal SC, in 2020. The Galaxy could potentially start a rivalry with them.'
'LA Galaxy II earned a wild card spot in the 2019 playoffs with 48 points and a record of 12-10-12. During the regular season, Kai Koreniuk and Ethan Zubak led all Galaxy scorers with nine goals apiece. The LA Galaxy II entered the play-in round against Austin Bold FC, but the season ended with a 2-0 loss. Ema Twumasi and Sean McFarlane both scored goals for Austin to eliminate the Galaxy from the playoffs.'
