Texas A&M University Aggies football team. Located in College Station, Texas, the stadium is named after Edwin Jackson Kyle, a professor at the university who secured the current grounds and the initial funding for the stadium in 1904. Nicknamed the Home of the 12th Man, Kyle Field is noted for its raucous crowd and atmosphere, which is like having a 12th player on the field. Though initially small, the stadium has undergone numerous renovations over its history. It now has a seating capacity of 102,733 people, making it the fourth largest stadium in the United States. How can I reach the stadium by public transportation?
Free shuttle transportation is available throughout Downtown Bryan. The shuttles provide transportation to most Kyle Field events.
Does Kyle Field have on-site parking?
Reserved parking lots are located within the direct vicinity of Kyle Field. Most of these lots can be accessed from George Bush Drive. Public and gameday parking lots are located in the surrounding areas. They can be accessed from University Drive and Stotzer Parkway. Unless your tickets come with guaranteed parking, you will need to purchase your parking passes independent from Kyle Field tickets. Prices may vary based on location.
How does Kyle Field accommodate disabled visitors?
Guests can find handicapped parking at the University Center Garage or lot 88. A paratransit shuttle is available from lot 88 to the stadium beginning three hours before the game and ending approximately one hour after. Accessible elevators, restrooms and seating are located throughout the stadium. You can call ahead of time to make sure that all of your needs are met.
Can I tailgate at Kyle Field?
Tailgating is permitted on the day of Aggies games. Tailgating begins at around 7 am and lasts until midnight. It is not allowed in certain locations, such as the Memorial Student Center law, the All Faiths Chapel grounds, the Penberthy Intramural Fields and the Simpson Drill Field. The use of university electricity is prohibited as well, but you can use your own recreational generator. Tailgaters are expected to clean up after themselves once they are done.
Does Kyle Field have premium seating?
The stadium features both luxury suites and club seating. These include 12 Founders suites, 38 prime suites, 20 legacy and four super legacy suites, 20 east side suites and 20 suites for The Zone Club. Some of these suites are available only to the largest donors. Suites provide luxurious accommodations, private restrooms and exclusive catering options.
