His mother was an amateur ventriloquist and a businesswoman and his father was a physician, a Congressional candidate for the state of Washington and a country musician. Jackson started performing at a young age, in television, films and in a band that included his brother, his uncle and his father called Scarlett Road. The band toured and played their signature down home music for several years before Jackson and his brother Richard Lee took over as the main act. They changed the name of the band to Jono and the Rock, and enjoyed some success with their act. The two hit it big when they formed Enation with friends: bassist Daniel Sweatt, guitarist Luke Galeotti and keyboardist Michael Galeotti. Their song Feel This became a Top 10 hit on the iTunes national Rock Charts and was featured on the CW TV series One Tree Hill and General Hospital.
