Although young in years, Jade Bird carries herself as if she had a hundred previous lives. Listening to her self-penned songs, you'll be struck by her clear, powerful yet vulnerable voice and her skilled and expressive guitar playing. Bird released two albums early in her career. Her first EP, titled
Something American
, showcased her songwriting talents with songs that touch on heavy themes such as lost love, divorce, mourning and unfaithful lovers. With her self-titled, full-length album, Bird debuted a fresh, funkier sound with catchy pop hooks that still retain those folk-inspired melodies and intelligent, heartfelt lyrics. The album was recorded in Woodstock in upstate New York and in the Catskill Mountains. To support her albums, Jade Bird on tour opened for such huge folk acts as
London Grammar
and
First Aid Kit
. To experience the grace and power of this talented folk musician, you can grab your Jade Bird tickets right here at StubHub.
''Based in London, Jade Bird has a love for Americana and folk music, which are influences that show up her in indie rock-sounding songs. Bird grew up in and around England with stints in London and South Wales as well as time spent in the United States and Germany. When she was 16, Bird decided her own fate: She was going to move back to London in order to hone her songwriting skills and her live performances. Bird was first noticed when she uploaded the song Madeline to YouTube, which eventually led to her record deal and the release of her first EP. Her hit song Lottery, landed at No. 1 on BillboardÕs Adult Alternative Songs while her next single Uh Huh, made it to No. 3 on the same chart. Bird continues to tour all over the world, enthralling audiences with her ethereal, husky voice and catchy folk tunes.'
