Elevating bluegrass to new levels since 2006, Infamous Stringdusters merge the genre with elements of country, folk and jam band, having earned themselves Bluegrass Music Association awards and Grammy nominations along the way. Comprised of Andy Falco (guitar), Jeremy Garrett (fiddle), Travis Book (double bass), Chris Pandolfi (banjo) and Andy Hall (dobro), Infamous Stringdusters can bee seen at tour stops across the U.S. playing favorites such as You Can't Stop the Changes and The Place That I Call Home.
Infamous Stringdusters were formed in 2006 at Boston's Berklee College of Music. Upon moving to Nashville, Tenn., the rest of the band's lineup fell into place. After signing with Sugar Hill Records, the Infamous Stringdusters released their 2007 debut album, Fork in the Road, which hit No. 4 on Billboard's Bluegrass Albums chart. At the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards that year, the band were recognized for the album with no fewer than three awards. They were awarded Emerging Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year for Fork in the Road.
Their self-titled sophomore offering (2008) scored the peak position on Billboard's Bluegrass Albums chart and bolstered their reputation as a boundary-breaking bluegrass band. It wasn't the last time one of their records would achieve the No. 1 spot.
The band's music has also fared well on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and the Heatseekers chart, with Let It Go, Ladies and Gentlemen and Laws of Gravity all making the Top 50 of both. The latter 2017 effort also rose to No.27 on Billboard's Independent Album chart.
One of best places to see Infamous Stringdusters live is at the Festy Experience, an annual three-day music festival in part developed by the band itself. Although the festival's goal is to feature musicians from a vast variety of genres, Infamous Stringdusters always make an appearance at this exciting outdoor weekend in Nelson County, Va.
Fans with Infamous Stringdusters tickets might also enjoy Steep Canyon Rangers or Yonder Mountain String Band.
