Located in the American Midwest, the State of Indiana offers much more than cornfields. The Hoosier state is home to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (of Indy 500 fame) as well as the NCAA Hall of Champions in Indianapolis. The state also boasts a number of excellent concerts venues, large and smaller, indoors and outdoors.

In addition to having professional basketball and football teams, Indiana hosts the annual Bill Monroe Memorial Bluegrass Festival, the Elkhart Jazz Festival and the Bloomington Blues and Boogie Piano Festival. NCAA tournament games are frequently held in Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosts a variety of annual events in addition to the iconic Memorial race.

Indiana Venues

Concert venues in Indiana run the gamut from intimate concert halls to large arenas. One of the most popular concert venues is Klipsch Music Center (formerly Deer Creek), located about 30 minutes north of downtown Indianapolis. More than 30 acts play this stage from May through September. Banker's Life Fieldhouse, the home of the Indiana Pacers, is a 6,000-seat venue that hosts a regular schedule of concerts, year round. For classical music fans, Hilbert Circle Theatre, the home of the Indianapolis Symphony, is the place to go.
