One of the band's earliest Spring shows will be at none other than the Troubadour, one of California's most iconic concert destinations located right in the heart of West Hollywood, the entertainment capital of the world. Located right on the heart of the Santa Monica Boulevard Strip, The Troubadour is just a stone's throw from Beverly Hills and the ideal place to experience and enjoy Hollywood's vibrant culture and nightlife scene. About Hurray for the Riff Raff

Spearheaded by folk aficionado Alynda Lee Segarra, Hurray for the Riff Raff would burst onto the music scene in 2007 as they built up a loyal fanbase with a diligent touring work ethic and an addictive indie folk sound. Segarra, who grew up in New York City and was heavily influenced by the organic music scenes that sprouted up in Manhattan during the 80s and 90s, would leave her home and parents behind at a young age as she decided to hitchhike and ride freight trains all across rural North America. The experience would deeply color her musical influences, with her eventually joining folk band Dead Man Street Orchestra in the late 00s. By 2007, she would begin writing her own music and form Hurray for the Riff Raff, self recording two albums as she continued a constant tour schedule that took her to all corners of the United States and across the pond into Europe. Word of mouth would soon spread as Hurray for the Riff Raff garnered widespread international acclaim, with the band having a spotlight shined on them by British periodical The Times.

The exposure from The Times would gain Segarra a record deal with ATO Records, opening her material up to a wider audience than ever before as she continued to receive critical acclaim from major outlets such as Spin Magazine, NPR, and the Wall Street Journal. Today, Hurray for the Riff Raff is the torchbearer of the modern folk Americana music scene, a beacon of musical excellence that continues to burn brighter with each and every hit new release.

Previous Hits

The band's first big break into the mainstream would come with their fourth full length release, My Dearest Darkest Neighbor. Released with the help of Mod Mobilian Records and label This is American Music, the album would receive widespread critical success and be one of Hurray for the Riff Raff's closest flirtations with major commercial success. The album would feature front woman Segarra alongside a lineup of talented studio musicians that included Yos Perlstein, Dan Cutler, Sam Doores, Zach Setchfield, and Andy Wilhite, with the album spawning a series of core Riff Raff tracks including Delta Momma Blues, Jealous Guy, Cuckoo, and Angel Ballad.

The band's most recent release Small Town Heroes would drop in 2014, on the band's largest and most current label ATO Records. The self produced record would be the band's biggest commercial success to date, and received widespread praise from critics with positive reviews from Rolling Stone, PopMatters, Paste, and Pitchfork Magazine. The album would hit the #158 position on the US Billboard 200, and #3 on the US Heatseekers Chart, particularly on the strength of hit tracks Small Town Heroes, End of the Line, The Body Electric, and Blue Ridge Mountain.
