Drawing on a melange of influences, including pop, disco, dance and electronica, the Brooklyn synth pop duo Holy Ghost! is comprised of Nick Millhiser and Alex Frankel and brands its music as disco-nic.

Holy Ghost!'s background

Millhiser and Frankel grew up just two blocks apart on New York City's Upper West Side. They explored their mutual love of music by playing together in a series of bands in high school, eventually focusing their attention on their early rap/hip hop band, Automato. As the duo developed into Holy Ghost!, they began to incorporate more elements of pop, releasing such single as Hold On, I Will Come Back and Wait and See. They also remixed music for MGMT, Moby and others.

By 2011, Holy Ghost! had released its self-titled debut album, which rose to No. 8 on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums. They followed it with their 2013 offering, Dynamics, which achieved the No. 20 position on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart.
