Hershey Theatre
Milton Hershey gave more to the world than just the chocolate bars that bear his name. In the city of Hershey, Pennsylvania, he also drove economic growth during the Great Depression with his Great Building Campaign. One of the structures established as a result of his efforts was the beautiful Hershey Theatre, which opened in 1933. The theater is rich with ornate Venetian decor, including a winged lion above the stage, a watercolor fire curtain and a mosaic tile ceiling in the foyer. Today, the theater continues Milton Hershey's vision of gifting Central Pennsylvania with art and beauty. At this historic theater, you can watch a comedy show, a classical music performance or a family-friendly program. In addition, the Hershey Theatre regularly hosts touring Broadway productions, such as

The Hershey Theatre can hold 1,904 guests. The seating is divided into the orchestra on the main floor and the loge and balcony sections on the upper level.
For the best views, select seats in the loge area. You'll be able to see the whole stage from there. Plus, the seats in this section are slightly more spacious than those in other parts of the theater. If you'd prefer a spot on the main floor, opt for seats in the center orchestra section.
Hersheypark Stadium
and the
Giant Center
are within a 15-minute drive of the theater. Both venues host a variety of concerts and other events. The Giant Center is the home of the
Hershey Bears
AHL team.
Free public parking is available throughout the area. The main lot is across from the theater. There is a second lot along Caracas Avenue. In addition, you can park at the Downtown Parking Garage.
Concession stands with drinks and light snacks are available before and after shows and during intermission. To bring a drink into the performance hall, you must use one of the theater's special cups. For a meal before or after the show, Houlihan's and Devon Seafood and Steak are the closest restaurants. Other nearby choices include Fenicci's of Hershey, The Chocolate Avenue Grill and Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant.
Although some shows are open to patrons of all ages, you will need to purchase a ticket for every person regardless of age. All attendees should be able to sit independently in a seat.
Accessible seating is available on the main level of the theater. There are accessible restrooms on that level as well. Note that the venue does not have an elevator.
